Punxsutawney Phil Had Better Watch His Back!

Two days ago it was nearly seventy degrees outside.  The wind was blowing, sun shining intermittently, birds were singing, children laughing and a warm feeling of hope cradled us all…  OK  So maybe it wasn’t all that great, but I did open up the windows and the kids played outside all afternoon, in short sleeves.

This morning it was twenty five degrees and I woke up to this:

That’s a solid ice covered tree with an extra coating of snow for good measure.

Not so much as I woke up to that huge pile of ice covered limbs as I went to bed with it last night.  I had to clear enough of them from the driveway so that my wife could get to work this morning.

I’m gonna kill that Groundhog if I ever catch up to him!

P.S.  Some of you may recall I’ve recently had some problems with that same tree.  I was going to have it chopped down.  Mother Nature is pruning it for me.

    Well I guess that’s a good thing??
The weather has just been crazy insane everywhere this winter! I’m ready for spring!

    I am way over winter!

So just where the hell do you live that the weather does THAT? Is there a town called Sybil somewhere I don’t know about?

Nutty. Was mid 60’s here today, I am guessing old man winter will make one last stab at screwing with us though.

The weather has been crazy, hasn’t it?
Today it’s supposed to be close to 60 where I am (Pa)
Then close to 25 tonight! What the heck!

That is exactly why I don’t live where ice and snow is common. I’ll stick with my mostly warm and often hot desert.

Yikes, that looks cold! :-0 But yay for nature lending you a helping hand ;-)

I would not have wanted to wake up to that sight!

Our weather has been up and down too. It’s warm(ish) today but I think getting cold agin tomorrow. Ugh, I’m so ready to be tan.

Is nature going to cut up all these branches into manageable sized portions and haul them to the curb for me?  I don’t think so.

Highs today in the mid 40’s.  All of the ice has melted (the limbs didn’t melt).  Forecast for tomorrow—-6-8 inches of snow!

    Yippie!

I used to think seasonal affective disorder was a crock–until I moved to the north.  This sucks!

I went to Vegas last year at the end of March.  Boy how I wish I was going back this year!

Man, I feel for you guys and everyone in States that is experiencing this fogangled weather. It’s no wonder that in every mommy or daddy blog I read, a family member is sick. Here in Vancouver, spring has sprung…a little sun on your face is amazing for the spirit. I hope you get some consistency soon in the form of sunshine and warmth.

I hear you on the sunshine.  At least we got to “spring forward” this weekend.  Unfortunatley, that’s about as close to spring as it’s gonna get right now.
