I thinks it's a ploy to make us appreciate spring more--like sunshine after five months of gray and snow and cold wasn't enough.

I thought when I moved to the north I would really appreciate having 4 seasons. I did--the first year. I'm over that now.

No ice cream for five months... that's terrible. Here in Florida winter is almost non-existent. It's spring sometime in early February. :)

I thought winter was over around here. Then yesterday it went back into the 40's. Last year we had a small snow in April so I never know what's going on.

We have a small ice cream shop that closes for the winter. It re-opens on Valentines day each year. We took the girls for ice cream th other night to celebrate finishing their math tests. Now we need to finish up english and summer can officially begin. Cold or not. Bring it on! I am so ready. :)

A collective sigh of relief around our house at having made it through another winter. I can't wait for the warm weather.

Oh, the big ones stay open. They're not crazy! You've got to be able to feed the cravings.

What? Ice Cream Shops close in the winter? How sad! I didn't know this sort of thing took place in the land of the free... Wow, my eyes have been opened. And I now have a new factor to consider when I decide to move out of California. Can you at least still get it at the grocery store? I mean - how do you fulfil the cravings for chocolate & peanut butter milkshakes?
