Sorry, Gotta Clean House—Literally!
Unbelievable! Just two days ago every single shoe was in it’s proper place, in it’s proper room, with it’s proper owner. Just two days ago! I just spent the last 20 minutes rounding up every shoe from downstairs. Here they are…..
And, all five children are currently wearing a pair of shoes. You can only imagine what the rest of my house looks like. Sorry, no post today. I’ve got to clean house. Why don’t you hop on over to Jeremy’s place at Discovering Dad. Jeremy’s been running a series called Spotlight on Dads and has chosen me as this weeks subject. Hey, someone had to slum it up–there’s some seriously, seriously great dads highlighted in the series thus far. I’m honored to be in their company.

LOL!!, just like my house.
I am SO going to show this to my hubby so he can get off my case about OUR shoes.
lol – BTW, great interview on Discovering Dads!
THAT is a whole lotta shoes!
Good luck getting them back where they belong
Thems is a lot of shoes! Good luck!
Hey Ed! Hope you had fun cleaning house today. Thanks for the nod, and I’m really glad to have you as part of the Spotlight On Dads series. No slummin man – you’re awesome!
Hey! That looks like what’s under my daughter’s bed. That’s ONE daughter….
I can’t imagine more than one.
Hope you’re finished soon and are back. In the meantime, I’m heading over to read more aboutcha!

nice piece on discovering dad
I love your pink cowboy boots, if they are my size and you ever get bored of wearing them then send them my way, they’d look great down the pub on a Sunday lunch.
Oh, the shoes! THE EVER LOVIN’ SHOES!!!!! We have this issue at our house. Just this morning I busted out a new pair of sandals for both of the wee ones, and as I was cutting off the tags, I was thinking to myself, “Just what we need, MORE shoes lying around the entryways and hallways!”
Living in a wealthy country has its drawbacks, such as owning ten pairs of shoes per one pair of feet.
Sometimes I wonder why I even try to clean.
Don’t get me in the middle of any domestic squabbles. I cause enough trouble around here as it is.
I found three more pairs while cleaning!
I needed more than luck.
Oddly enough, I did not have fun cleaning the house. The interview was a pleasure.
I don’t think I’ll ever finish. It’s like cleaning behind a pack of whirling dirvishes.
Hey, thanks for reading it. I was a little shocked he asked becasue there are some seriously stellar dudes he’s interviewed thus far.
They make me feel pretty.
Sadly–every one of those are last years shoes. They are in serious need of some new summer kicks. So I’ll have even more to pick up!
Ed- read your spotlight on dad interview and loved it – actually got choked up at one point!
great job.
Truly. I feel your shoe pain.
Congrats on the Discovering Dad gig! I love his site!
Dude, gets to cleaning! LOL I am off to check out your interview. Peace.
Oh, man, I know. At our house shoes breed downstairs — and my wife is the worst offender. Sometimes it seems like 50% of my homemaking task is finding homes for lost shoes…
Hey,I spotted a pair of pink boots.I luv it!But sadly I dun have a girl,So I skip the chances of buying those pink footwear from the girl’s section.Which ALWAYS HAD THE BIGGEST VARIETY!
Thanks for making me feel better about the four or five pairs of shoes that are usually kicking around our kitchen or living room.
Now just pretend those are all flip flops and you have my house!
