Intrinsic Beauty

I appreciate intrinsic beauty and consider myself fortunate to gaze upon it, bask in it or simply let it absorb me.

Oftentimes, I take for granted that I am surrounded by the wonderful, enshrouded by it’s ever-presence in my life.

Beautiful children and a lovely wife are but a few that spring to the top of my mind.

While the list of things I might enjoy to look upon is quite extensive, I can say the same of those I would rather not.

Namely—-sunrise on a Sunday morning!!

For the love of God, kids!  Please go back to sleep!!

I never knew the sun came up over the horizon until I had a child. I would previously just wake up and magically it would be light.

Jenny–Oh, don’t get me wrong. It was beautiful. I just couldn’t appreciate it on my Sleep Late Sunday morning.

James–I usually knew it was time to go to bed when I saw the sun coming up!

There really is nothing more beautiful than kids sleeping. Wait, there is too, kids that go back to sleep after waking up too early.

I must admit that the view of the backside of my eyelids is the most beautiful sight I can see on a Sunday morning.

Kami–My kids do not comprehend “Go back to sleep.”

VegasDad–I often tell my kids I’m reading the back of my eyelids when I have fallen asleep on the couch and they wake me.

Whit–There’s a reason football games don’t start until 1 pm.
