Why Am I So Sore?

It’s Wednesday.

This is wordless.

Mostly.

Why?

How difficult can this be?  You sit down and gravity does all of the work.  Right?

Defying Gravity

This was not a well considered plan.

Gravity Wins

Do not be fooled.  All that fluffy looking white stuff is not as soft as it looks.

I'm Crying on the Inside

The kids make this look so much easier.   And so much less painful.

They say we’re supposed to get a few days of warmer temperatures and that some of our winter oasis is going to melt away.  That may not be such a bad thing—I’m running out of Motrin!

(Many thanks to Zoë for stepping behind the lens to capture her dad’s outward display of poor judgement.  Also  Zoë, it’s not nice to laugh at your dad until you know that he’s not really hurt.)

Great photos! It takes a great dad to get out there and try not to kill himself in front of his kids. Happy WW!

The hard part was trying not to cry every time I fell. It really does hurt!

I saw the photos of your kids, in my reader. You guys have a great sledding hill. I would totally go down it myself too. How fun!

That part of the yard we call “The Bowl”. It’s great in the snow–a nightmare in the spring and rainy season because it floods. Kind of nerve wracking with the kids playing in the yard.

I had a similiar experience a few weeks back. Thank goodness there is not photographic evidence.

Ahahaha! Oh Ed, that looks like such fun! Good thing you have a lot of medical experience in your family, though.

Unfortunately, medical experience does not equate to common sense.

I was too old for that about 10 years ago!
