Not So Wordless Wednesday

Sloth—any of various slow-moving arboreal edentate mammals (genera Bradypus and Choloepus) that inhabit tropical forests of South and Central America, hang from the branches back downward, and feed on leaves, shoots, and fruits.  (Webster’s)  He’s got a bad rep, not that I think he really cares.  The Sloth has been associated with somnolence, laziness and a general disinclination for work of any form.  He’s a deadly sin for crying out loud!

I would like to offer that our buddy the sloth is not a slacker but rather a highly efficient, well-oiled machine worthy of emulation.  Really, the sloth is able to forage food, build nests, socialize and procreate all while sleeping an average of 15-18 hours a day.  That’s fairly judicious use of one’s waking hours.
